Peter has over 20 years experience in the design, development and manufacturing of equipment for the Biopharm, food, beverage and industrial industries. He is the founder and president of DME. As a senior Design Engineer / Project Manager, Peter has lead most development projects at DME.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Under Peter's guidance, DME has flourished as an industry leader serving an international market with a variety of products and industries. Peter was recognized with "Young Engineering Achievement" Award in 1992, as "Young Entrepreneur of the Year, 1997" for the Atlantic provinces of Canada, and with the "Engineering Excellence" Award from the Association of Professional Engineers of PEI in 2002. | | | | | | | | | Engineering
| | | Denton Moffat, P. Eng., Project Manager
Denton joined DME in 1996 and currently brings over a decade of engineering, design and project management experience to the DME team. His previous background was as a Consultant Engineer of municipal utilities and high pressure/high temperature district heating designs.
As a registered Professional Engineer, Denton is the Senior Engineer on all pressure vessel design projects and was instrumental in ensuring that DME attained their National Board Certificate of Authorization. As Quality Manager, Denton oversees the quality program for CSA B51 and ASME BPE.
Denton's recent principal projects include a 100 bbl fully automated brewery; three (3) automated high pressure solvent extraction skid systems; a 25,000 L bio-pharmaceutical fermentation plant; an enzyme reactor plant expansion; and numerous international installations. His technical ability, diverse background and whole project approach enable him to coordinate the DME team and provide valuable management skills. Denton best attributes are his attention to detail, project management skills and overall knowledge of system integration.

Don joined DME after over 9 years experience in the mechanical and process engineering industries. Don?s experience has led him to extensive process equipment installations and design work on sites in Canada, USA, and South America. At DME, Don brings this experience to his role of three dimensional modeling, design/design development, drafting, and project management. Don?s aptitude for problem solving and open mindedness for solutions makes him a valued member of the team. | | | | | | | Nancy Hayward, Sales & Customer Service Representative
Nancy joined the DME team after 21 years in the nuclear industry with AECL-Research in Ontario and 6 years in the seed industry at Veseys on PEI. She has many years of customer service, sales and marketing experience. Nancy provides customer service and support to all of our valued customers and potential customers.

| | | Ralph MacDonald, Purchasing Manager
Having worked in the manufacturing industry for over 25 years Ralph brings extensive knowledge to the DME team. Working in the position of Purchasing Manager for over 11 years, Ralph has built long standing relationships with all DME suppliers guaranteeing accurate and competitive pricing and quotes for each and every DME project. Ralph works closely with DME Project Engineers to ensure that all materials are of the highest quality and meet the superior standards set for each and every job. | | | | | | | Ross McKellop, Shipping Manager
As Parts and Used Equipment Manager, Ross will assist customers with all their used equipment and parts sourcing and acquisition requirements. With an extensive background in transportation, procurement and operations management, Ross professionally handles all of DME?s equipment handling requirements. Ross's extensive experience in shipping and logistics will ensure all customers are guaranteed cost-effective and timely shipping and installation on their DME orders.

| | | Lei-Lanya Lavers, Executive Assistant
Lei-Lanya has joined the DME team after 12 years experience in the legal and manufacturing industries. She has received accreditation from Holland College in both the Legal Secretary and Executive Assistant programs. Lei-Lanya has been Peter Toombs' executive assistant since 2003 and also provides all administrative assistance and marketing support to the rest of the DME team. | | | | | | | Shirley MacDonald, Human Resource Manager
